I’m Mark Smith

Founder & Director
Purpose Resourcing was founded by Mark Smith.
Mark is passionate about recruitment. He is purpose driven and truly believes in helping others. He has extensive experience working across multiple sectors and specialisms.
Mark’s experience spans managing executive and mid-senior level appointments with over 10 years in agency, specialising in Human Resources, Finance, IT, Cybersecurity and Technical.
In addition, he has also spent six years in-house supporting the delivery of change, implementing recruitment functions (systems, policy, compliance, candidate/hiring manager journeys). Most importantly delivering fair, equitable and compliant recruitment journeys.
Mark enjoys a consultative approach, taking the time to listen, understanding your needs, and ensuring that the recruitment journey has expectations and timelines adequately managed on both sides.
Mark is CIPD accredited, is level A&B trained in behavioural competency frameworks and can use this knowledge to support finding the right people for organisations and matching purpose focused candidates to their next career move.
Our consultative approach ensures we can support candidates by giving advice on CVs, preparing for interviews (especially competency) and supporting through the offer and onboarding process with a new employer.
